Who we are
Oveja Negra is a reggae fusion band formed in Stockholm in 2024, bringing together musicians who found in music something more than a place to play: a way to tell stories, express emotions and connect with other people.
Reggae is the root and starting point of the project, but not a boundary. Our identity remains open to fusion and to the different experiences and sensibilities of the people who make up the band.
Our songs are performed mainly in Spanish and explore life, identity, choices, awareness, love and heartbreak, hope, mistakes, freedom and the need to celebrate.
What does Oveja Negra mean?
The name comes from a personal experience of feeling different, not always fitting into established expectations and questioning the path others expect us to follow.
Being Oveja Negra does not mean being against everything or everyone. It means keeping your identity, asking questions and having the courage to be yourself without living only to meet other people’s expectations.

Our sound engineer is part of the technical team that works and travels with the band.
You do not need to understand every word to feel the message.
Although much of our material is in Spanish, people from different backgrounds have told us after concerts that they connected with the intention and energy of what was happening on stage.
